Accelerating Control Panel Enclosure Wiring by Up to Eight Times
Wiring control panels is traditionally the most labor-intensive bottleneck in electrical switchgear fabrication, accounting for over 40% of total assembly hours. The Rittal Wire Terminal WT automates the entire wire preparation sequence: measuring exact wire lengths, cutting, stripping both insulation ends, crimping wire ferrules, and printing clear alphanumeric markings—producing fully finished wires ready for direct installation.
Modular Tooling and Flexible Wire Magazine Options
The Wire Terminal WT accommodates wire cross-sections from 0.5 mm² to 6.0 mm² without mechanical retooling. Equipped with versatile wire magazines holding up to 36 spools or barrels of different wire colors and cross-sections, the machine automatically switches between conductor types on the fly according to digital wiring instructions.
Integrated High-Resolution Inkjet Wire Marking
Eliminate loose sleeve tags and tedious manual heat-shrink labeling. The Wire Terminal WT integrates two-color high-resolution inkjet print heads (white and black ink) that print wire numbers, connection endpoints, and terminal block addresses directly onto the conductor insulation. The ink cures instantly and is completely smudge-resistant and oil-resistant.
Seamless Integration with EPLAN Smart Wiring
Finished wires are deposited into 13-track sorting lift magazines according to their installation sequence in the panel or grouped by device destination. Combined with EPLAN Smart Wiring software, panel builders on the shop floor receive digital step-by-step visual guidance on mobile tablets, ensuring zero wiring errors, effortless wire routing, and maximum production velocity.
