Targeted Enclosure Illumination with Innovative Fresnel Optical Lenses
Standard fluorescent tubes and generic strip lights disperse diffuse light outward into the operator's eyes while leaving the depths of the electrical enclosure—especially lower terminal blocks and cable gland plates—in deep shadow. The Rittal LED System Light SZ 2500 series resolves this through advanced optical engineering: an integrated Fresnel lens focuses and redirects the luminous flux downward and deep into the cabinet interior, illuminating all component rows and wiring ducts uniformly without dazzling the maintenance technician.
Rapid Tool-Free Clip-In and Magnetic Mounting
Installing enclosure lighting has never been faster. Rittal LED system lights can be snapped directly into the 25 mm hole pattern of the VX25 frame profile or AX mounting rails with a simple tool-free clip. For retrofits or field servicing, optional heavy-duty magnetic mounting kits allow the luminaire to be affixed securely to any bare steel or powder-coated surface instantly and repositioned whenever needed.
Integrated Motion Detector and Door Position Switches
Energy efficiency and operator convenience are paramount. Available with an integrated passive infrared (PIR) motion detector boasting a 90° detection cone, the light automatically switches on as soon as an engineer approaches or opens the door, and switches off after an adjustable dwell time. Alternatively, plug-and-play connection cables connect directly to Rittal door-operated position switches (SZ 4315), ensuring lighting activates strictly when the cabinet door swings open.
Rotatable Connectors and Effortless Daisy-Chaining
Equipped with a 90° rotatable power inlet connector, cables can be routed discreetly along the enclosure frame in any direction. When baying multiple enclosures together, Rittal through-wiring cables allow up to 15 LED lights to be daisy-chained from a single main infeed power source, drastically cutting installation time and material costs.
