High-Density Cable Entry for Pre-Assembled Cables and Harsh Industrial Environments
Modern automated machinery relies heavily on prefabricated cables equipped with molded industrial connectors, Ethernet RJ45 plugs, optical LC connectors, and D-Sub interfaces. Split Gland Frames: Insert Pre-Terminated Cables in Seconds
Rittal split cable entry plates allow pre-assembled cables with large terminal plugs to be passed through standardized enclosure cutouts without detaching the connectors. Flexible, slotted elastomeric grommets are snapped over the cables and slotted firmly into the matching grooves of the split frame. Once bolted together, the frame compresses the grommets uniformly, achieving an airtight, watertight IP66 / NEMA 4X seal.
Extreme Space Efficiency and Integrated Strain Relief
Where conventional cable glands require wide spacing that consumes an entire enclosure wall, Rittal high-density cable entry plates pack up to 32 cables into a compact opening standardly sized for 24-pin multi-pole connectors. Built-in contoured cable holding ribs provide mechanical strain relief conforming to DIN EN 62444, preventing external pulling or vibration forces from dislodging internal electrical terminals.
Modular Flange Plates for AX, KX, and VX Enclosure Openings
Rittal offers specialized gland plate options for every cabinet tier: two-part gland plates with elastic foam clamp strips for AX compact panels, modular plastic gland plates with knockout membranes for tool-free piercing, and heavy-gauge stainless steel plates for hygienic food processing washdowns. All modules maintain enclosure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) when paired with Rittal grounding braid kits.
